Turmeric, Sandalwood paste, and baking powder along with fruit vinegar are all simple ingredients we can find at home which could be used for de-tanning and exfoliate our tired skin this season. These natural ingredients can be applied on most skin types and work exceptional well.

 

Always remember to cleanse and scrub before you apply a face pack or a body pack for better results. Complete the detan therapy by applying some Aloe Vera gel for a cooling effect to keep your skin soft and supple.

If your hands, feet and neck have gotten a few shades darker than expected, remove your tan with a homemade body pack. Soak 4 strands of saffron in 5 tablespoons of milk cream overnight. The next morning, add 2 tablespoons of honey to the mixture and apply this over the tanned areas of your body. Let this sit for 40 minutes and wash it off with cold water.

Milk cream richly nourishes the body and evens out the skin tone. Saffron on the other hand, is a superstar when it comes to skin brightening. When combined with moisturizing honey, this body pack reverses sun damage and effectively removes the tan.

If skin darkening is getting you down, opt for a body scrub that will both, exfoliate and moisturize your skin. Combine 2 tablespoons of oats with 3 tablespoons of honey and apply it to the exposed areas of your body. Gently scrub in a circular motion while doing so. Leave this on for 30 minutes and wash away with cold water.

 

While oats helps to lightly exfoliate the skin without being abrasive, honey helps to soothe your skin.

In order to get rid of dead skin cells which are making the skin dull, add dry brushing to your skincare routine. Choose the right exfoliator which isn’t too coarse and use it to scrub your body in a gentle circular motion prior to your shower. Not only does this practice promote healthy circulation, it also sloughs away damaged cells which lie on the exterior of your skin and thus, aids in tan removal.
